Registered Dietitian

A registered dietitian (RD) is a food and nutrition expert who has met specific academic and professional requirements, including earning a bachelor's degree with an accredited nutrition curriculum, completing a supervised practice program, and passing a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Registered dietitians are qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat nutritional problems. RDs are required to complete continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration.
