Elastic Therapeutic Taping

While not a new concept or treatment modality, Sports Medicine offers Elastic Therapeutic Taping (commonly known as Kinesiotaping) as just one more tool in its therapists’ arsenal, available to help get our clients back to life faster!

The elastic cotton tape is placed over muscles to help alleviate pain and inflammation, relax overused and fatigued muscles, and provide continuous support during movement. Its elasticity ensures that this taping method is non-restrictive, allowing full mobility without impacting the client’s ability to move freely.

Elastic Therapeutic Taping has a wide range of uses, including:

  • Lower back strain/pain (subluxations, herniated disc)
  • Lower extremity conditions - groin and hamstring injuries, plantar fasciitis, patellar tracking, ankle sprains
  • Upper extremity conditions - rotator cuff injury, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Pre- and post-surgical edema
