Active Rehabilitation

Overcome physical limitations following an accident, acute injury, or chronic condition with our tailored Active Rehabilitation Program. Our Athletic Therapists and Physiotherapists will design a personalized program aimed at restoring your prior level of function.

The Sports Medicine Active Rehabilitation Program supports clients who have sustained injuries, suffer from chronic conditions, or have completed rehabilitation and are seeking to bridge the gap back to their former physical capabilities. This program benefits clients across the spectrum of Orilla Sports Medicine, including those recovering from athletic injuries, orthopedic surgeries, chronic conditions, and motor vehicle accidents.

Your individualized Active Rehabilitation Program will be managed and supervised by a Certified Athletic Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Chiropractor, ensuring a collaborative approach to regaining joint stability and mobility, enhancing strength, reducing pain, and improving your overall quality of life.

The active recovery team consists of Registered Kinesiologists, Certified Athletic Therapists, and/or Certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches.

What do the programs entail?
  • Participants will join the program after undergoing an assessment and treatment by a registered professional. This active rehabilitation serves as an extension of hands-on manual therapy, designed by the practitioner, and includes regular re-evaluations and progress adjustments to ensure continued improvement.
  • The initial visit will include a Movement Analysis to determine the outcome required for demands of the individual’s recovery and return to activity, work or their sport.
  • Participate in an individualized active rehabilitation program designed to recover, restore & maximize function.
  • Participants will be challenged using safe & appropriate methods, enabling clients to progress on an individual basis through their program.
  • Each session will deliver mobility, functional movement, and corrective exercise.
  • Following your active rehab program, you will find yourself restored to your pre-injury health and active living.
