CYCLING FOR RVH

The Race Across America is the most difficult race in all of cycling. The race travels across 3000 miles from the west coast to the east cost of USA crossing 12 states. Mark Herbst and Paul Miller will be attempting this race for their second time as a tag team. In 2011 the duo set a world record for the 50-59 age category with a finishing time of 6 days 23 hours and 21 minutes.
This year's race has another special element to it as the team raises funds to support the cancer ward at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Center in Barrie. This effort hits very close to home for Mark Herbst as his wife Jackie has survived three bouts of a rare cancer thanks to the efforts and expertise of all of the amazing staff at RVH.
Orillia Sports Medicine’s very own DR. JASON PORR will be joining Mark and Paul to assist them on their journey. Stay tuned for updates regarding this amazing adventure, starting June 15th.
