Entrepreneurial Business Initiative Award by Orillia Chamber

Drs. Michelle & Lucas Laframboise

Sports Medicine opened its NEW location in Orillia in Sept. 2018 to serve the Orillia, Rama, Midland, Pentane and Gravenhurst communities. The new clinic adds to their three Barrie locations, along with the Angus regional clinic. After only 5 short months, Orillia Sports Medicine received this prestigious award for "Entrepreneurial Business Initiative" from the Orillia District Chamber of Commerce (https://www.orillia.com).

The NEW facility, which opened on Sept. 5th, is located in the West Ridge Mall, beside Sears and includes physiotherapy, massage therapy, athletic therapy, chiropractic and sport chiropractic care. Also available are sport medicine physician and orthopaedic consultations. In addition to treatment, Sports Medicine will be providing Strength and Conditioning for injured athletes and training for athletes who wish to perform at their best.

The state of the art facility, which includes a 3000 sq. ft. training area, has already gained the interest of the North Central Predators, who have committed to having their teams utilize In-season training, Fitness Testing, Sport Nutrition and Mental Performance. See our Services tab on our website (https://orillia.sportsmedicine.on.ca/services.php).

In 2008, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre achieved the highest level of recognition by becoming the first clinic in Ontario to achieve accreditation by both the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). A facility holding these prestigious designations has demonstrated an interest in and commitment to establishing and maintaining high standards of physiotherapy and rehabilitation practice. When an organization is accredited, the public is assured that you are committed to continually improving the quality of your services and your organization's focus is on service outcomes, customer feedback and satisfaction. It demonstrates that you offer a higher degree of internal quality.

Recently, the Complete Concussion Program (https://completeconcussions.com) was introduced and is now an important community partner that is providing athletes a safe and managed approach to return to play. Our team of physicians, sport physiotherapists, chiropractors and specialist network is working closely with local teams to guide, educate and treat brain injuries.
