RADIAL SHOCK WAVE THERAPY!

We're excited to announce that Orillia Sports Medicine will be offering a new service - Radial Shock Wave Therapy!

Radial Shock Wave Therapy (RSWT) has been proven to be effective for chronic heel spurs, tennis elbow, Achilles’ tendonitis, calcific shoulder tendonitis, frozen shoulder, patellar tendonitis. It is an acoustic pulse that is pneumatically generated and transmitted into the tissue. This stimulates the healing process and reduces pain. Most clients feel significant results after the first treatment. Some clients will not feel a difference until finishing their third treatment.

The treatment is very effective, quick and reasonably priced. The treatments are $150 per visit, three are recommended. The treatments are provided by a Registered Physiotherapist or Chiropractor and may be covered by extended health care plans that pay for Physiotherapy and Chiropractic treatment. Some employers may pay directly for the RSWT treatments for an employee. WSIB may cover chronic cases, clients should consult with their case worker.
