Jason van Meijel, RMT, D.O.M.P Soft Tissue Specialist
Jason is an honours graduate of the Massage Therapy program at Georgian College. Jason also earned a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice from LCO, a globally-recognized institution. His passion for anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation is apparent in his academic achievements and previous college instructor role. Jason competently makes a difference in the integrative healthcare landscape. He continually seeks opportunities to hone his care and utilizes a dynamic and active treatment approach.
As a competitive endurance athlete and NCCP certified coach, Jason loves to challenge himself and live an active and healthy lifestyle. His passion for mountain bike racing and events in Canada and the USA has resulted in podium finishes. As a coach, he is passionate about mentoring others toward their personal goals, regardless of sport or level. He brings this passion to treatment. Understanding everyone's uniqueness, he tailors treatment to meet their needs.
Jason integrates many modalities, including osteopathy (cranial osteopathy, visceral manipulation), prenatal massage/care, deep tissue massage, sports massage, trigger-point therapy, MFR (Myofascial release), cupping, IASTM, and Swedish massage. His clinical experience working with professional and recreational athletes has allowed him to recognize the demands athletes face, allowing him to approach treatment dynamically to get patients back to sport quicker. His clinical experience working with patients experiencing chronic and acute pain, those involved in motor vehicle accidents, pre-and post-natal, and those in long-term care have allowed him to develop compassion and understanding, which he brings to every treatment. His ultimate goal is to work with clients using massage, osteopathy, education, and remedial exercise to help them achieve or maintain their individual healthcare goals.
